At Cannon Access we pride ourselves in being able to offer a wide range of MEWP training courses including cherry picker and scissor lift licences, all priced at great rates and available in a location and at a time that suits you. Our access platform training instructors are fully qualified to the highest of standards and are dedicated to ensuring you are fully prepared to safely and skilfully carry out work-at-height tasks.
Our one day IPAF Operator course is designed to address the needs of those operating Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWPs) such as cherry pickers, scissor lifts, vertical platforms, static or self-propelled, telescopic and articulating booms. Delegates are offered the choice of 1, 2 or 3 machine categories (IPAF 3A, IPAF 3B and/or IPAF 1B)
Our IPAF Operator training course either comprises a morning of theory with a written test plus an afternoon of practical assessment or online eLearning with a practical assessment at our training centre. The course is delivered by IPAF accredited Training Instructors and delegates will receive the IPAF Operator PAL licence upon successful completion of the course.
Machine categories available:
- Machine Category IPAF 3ATraining – Scissor Lift – Mobile Vertical
- Machine Category IPAF 3BTraining – Self Propelled Boom – Mobile Boom
- Machine Category IPAF 1BTraining – Vehicle, Trailer or Track Mounted – Static Boom
Our IPAF Demonstrator training course is designed to address the needs of those who are required to familiarise operators with their responsibilities, demonstrate pre-operational and safe operating procedures and the limitations of Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWPs) such as cherry pickers, scissor lifts, vertical platforms, static or self-propelled, telescopic and articulating booms.
All delegates wishing to attend the IPAF Demonstrator training course must have successfully passed the IPAF Operator Course prior to attending and hold a valid IPAF PAL Operator Card in the category that they wish to be trained to at Demonstrator level, alongside a working knowledge of MEWPs.
IPAF MEWPS for Managers
Our IPAF MEWPs for Managers course is designed to address the needs of managers and supervisors in preparing for and safely coordinating the use of various types of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) within their control, including scissor lifts, self-propelled boom lifts, vehicle mounted booms, trailer mounted boom lifts and aerial work platforms.
There are no pre-requisites to the IPAF MEWPs for Managers course, although a working knowledge of MEWPs is an advantage. Successful delegates will gain an understanding of current relevant legislation and best practice guidelines on a range of MEWPs, be able to carry out a pre-use inspection and most importantly use MEWPs safely and in-line with current approved methods and manufacturers’ instructions.
The IPAF Harness course is designed for delegates who are required to understand the appropriate use of harnesses and personal protective equipment (PPE) when using Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) such as cherry pickers.
The IPAF Harness course is a half day, largely theory-based course that takes place within a classroom environment. Delegates are encouraged to bring their own harnesses for the short practical session to ensure the correct fit and condition of the harness.
